An Irish Welcome
May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face, And rain fall soft upon your fields.
At the heart of O’Shea’s Merchant is the warmth of a genuine Irish welcome. Everyone who crosses the threshold of the pub is a friend, some old, some new and some we have not yet met. All are welcome and we promise you that if you like to enjoy good food, great craic and a few drinks you will have the time of your life with us.

A freshly baked scone, a hearty bowl of stew or a comforting plate of bacon and cabbage - whatever your mood, we can provide the perfect dish to meet your needs. Our ingredients are sourced locally or come from kerry producers who are our friends, our recipes are tried and tested - many came from John’s mother Mary who ran the kitchen for years and all are favourites of the O’Shea children and our customers.
Food
We have an extensive drinks menu that includes the best of Irish craft beer and whiskey, a few choice cocktails and of course, Dublin’s favourite pint…Guinness!
Don’t miss the chance to tell your friends that you worked in an Irish bar - the pour your own pint experience will make a great picture in the holiday album!
Enjoy the best Irish Coffee in Dublin.
Thirsty
It’s difficult to imagine a night out in Ireland without music, dancing and hi jinx!
O’Shea’s has a long history of traditional music. Many of the great names in Irish music you know and love have played here over the years. Ned O’Shea was a national squeeze box champion and has led innumerable sessions well into the wee small hours.
We still have live music seven nights a week - check our Facebook for the line-up which is updated weekly.
Is one of your goals to learn Irish dancing?
Come on in on a Monday night and watch or take part… You might think you’ll be a casual observer but a whiskey or two later you’ll be up with the rest of them!
